15 Things We Learned From Sheamus On Talk Is Jericho

6. Winning The Championship

Sheamus talks about moving to Raw and winning a Breakthrough Battle Royal which led to a tables match vs. John Cena for the title at TLC. Prior to that he had been feuding with Shelton Benjamin who irritated him by constantly calling him "rookie" in their interactions backstage and a program with Goldust who both guys credit as an amazing worker. After winning the WWE championship from Cena at TLC, he says he walked backstage with the belt and it was like a ghost town because so many people backstage were p*ssed off at him becoming the champ. He adds that when he saw Shelton all he could think was "Who's the bleeding rookie now?" Jericho relates to that feeling, saying that when he won the undisputed championship people reacted the same way, and Sheamus adds that he really didn't care because his friends like Drew and DiBiase Jr. were there and he got to share the culmination of his dreams with him.
