Downs...
4. Pointlesshausen!
Apparently, someone on creative was told: 'Just bloody well get Danhausen on the format somewhere. It doesn't matter where, but he has to be on this week's episode so we can shift some more t-shirts!'. That'd explain why the spooky little goblin's cameo performance was so lacklustre. Not even Gunther's disgusted facial expressions as he pondered exactly what a Danhausen is could save things.
Dan approached Nick Aldis asking to be made ‘Employee Of The Month’, for some reason. Then, Gunther came in to moan about the Triple Threat main event, and looked at Danhausen whilst shaking his head. That’s it, that’s all that happened. Doesn't sound too bad, does it? Well, it was absolutely pointless and not a great use of Danhausen, to be honest.
Realistically, Danhausen is at his best when he's used sparingly. He certainly shouldn't be showing up in segments with serious main event talent like this; not unless there's some purpose behind it. What? Is the 'Ring General' going to accidentally get zapped like The Miz and Kit Wilson then end up back in the NXT UK days? Nah, that's not gonna happen. Keep these dudes away from one another, please. Nothing good can come of them interacting at the moment.
This segment got yours truly thinking about the possibility of Danhausen becoming Nick's assistant. Again, please no. There's no need to force comedy skits into the booking every single week for the sake of it. We've already for enough of that with Johnny Gargano and R-Truth, neither of whom are playing before massive laughs as it is.
