40 Greatest Stories Wrestling Ever Told

Nobody suspected much of anything when Naomi replaced Jade Cargill as Bianca Belair's regular tag-team partner on the 20 December 2024 SmackDown after Jade was found laid out backstage beforehand. On the surface, this just seemed like a quick substitute whilst WWE figured out their latest 'whodunit', but there was way more to the story than that.

Eventually, Cargill returned at Elimination Chamber on 1 March 2025 and immediately attacked Naomi. Belair, who was locked inside one of the Chamber pods, was beside herself with grief and emotion after seeing this, because she didn't believe for a second that Naomi could've been responsible. Then, we got the 7 March SmackDown and absolute cinema.

Naomi tearfully confessed that she'd been jealous of Jade, so took her out and scooped the success she and Bianca had been enjoying. Belair was distraught, then disgusted, and the segment featured some world class acting from both. You don't get to say that about the medium of pro wrestling a whole heck of a lot! There are top stories, sure, but generally one must...temper their expectations on the acting front going in.

Naomi and Belair deserved a bonus for their dual performances here. It was that good.

Coming out of the reveal, Naomi switched up her gimmick to go heel. She was smashing it before going off the road on maternity leave. If you're gonna interrupt a career-defining run, then it might as well be for the most positive reasons, eh? Baby Uce is well worth it, but what a story Naomi, Jade and the 'EST' weaved before that.
