5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Jan 6)

1. What A Way To Open!

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson vs. Top Flight was stunning.

If TK doesn't keep building Dante and Darius Martin as natural babyface successors to The Acclaimed, then he should be slapped with Dave Meltzer's 'Booker Of The Year' trophy instead of posing with it. These boys have all the tools to be the underdog babyface tag sensations of 2023.

Mox and Danielson scored the win, but the Martin brothers were elevated yet again by putting in a rugged performance. They were even willing to brawl with the BCC at one point, which was unexpected. The crowd in Portland really liked that bit, and who can blame them?

The whole match was pinned down by a breathtaking pace that just kept quickening. Honestly, this guy could've watched these four bruise one another for the entire hour Rampage had to offer. Even the overdone, "This Is Awesome" chants fit the quality of match on offer.

Go watch it.
