Ups…

5. Profits, Alphas Have Solid Tag Match

By next week, the tag match between the Street Profits and Alpha Academy will have been forgotten by fans and probably the Raw writers alike.

But we still can give an “up” to the two teams for putting together a fun, enjoyable little match with some nice moments. It was an inoffensive bout between two teams who know how to entertain, right down to Montez Ford’s futile efforts to chop Otis down.

The finish saw Chad Gable hit a crossbody off the top, only for Ford to roll through and get a cradle for the win. In any competent wrestling promotion, this would signal that the Profits were just a bit better, but if that crossbody had gone the other way, the Alphas would have walked away the winners, meaning they’re just one step off from success.

Either way, Alpha Academy is going to need to pick up a win sooner or later, or these showcase matches are going to mean absolutely nothing, except for “minutes of content generated.”
