4. The Glaring Missed Opportunity With R-Truth

On the plus side, John Cena and R-Truth looked like they were having a blast by mirroring one another. Then, Cena turned things upside down by claiming that it was actually Truth who turned heel in March and then spent the best part of 5 months being a jerk to everybody. That left Ron Killings with a typically confused expression on his face.

Now, the downside.

So, Truth is officially back to being little more than a hapless comedy character. Personally, this writer is not into the thought of that, but only because he'd hoped to see WWE explore the more serious edge to Ron Killings. That hasn’t been there for a while, admittedly, and it sucks that creative has just ditched the whole idea without a second thought.

Sure, he worked a funny skit with John Cena here, but it ultimately exposes that Cena's own heel turn achieved nothing. Yikes! WWE normally wait a while before pointing the finger at themselves and acknowledging their own nonsense, but this still feels super raw and unsatisfying. There's never going to be any explanation from Cena or The Rock about why they joined forces at Elimination Chamber, is there?

Seeing Truth return to his old hijinks is deeply unsatisfying too. He carried an air of danger and a real threat for the first in well over a decade after returning at Money In The Bank. Just over 2 months on from that PLE, he's already hitting the reset button and pretending none of that happened.

Nah, WWE shouldn't get a pass for wasting everyone's time.
