5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 23)

4. A Step Backwards

The action from Rolling Loud wasn't great.

Firstly, Angelo Dawkins shouldn't have beaten Chad Gable. Alpha Academy have spent weeks overwhelming The Street Profits; they injured Montez Ford and then bullied Dawkins two-on-one. Now, suddenly, 'dem Profits are back, hanging out with Wale and winning singles matches.

What's the deal here? Why are some tags, like The Dirty Dawgs, yakking on about singles belts, and why are other duos working so many one-on-one situations. None of this made any sense, and the audience in Miami didn't give a shiny sh*te about any of it anyway.

The Alphas should've got another one over Dawkins and Ford here. Otis, who was ringside for Gable, did absolutely nothing too. He needed to come in, wreck shop and be the difference maker for his tutor Chad. Instead, he might as well have been a cardboard cutout.
