5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 20 - Results & Review)

3. Why Not, Eh?

John Cena

Few are better at getting fans invested on the mic than John Cena. His speech put Roman Reigns over as the best champion ever by drawing attention to the length of his run, then turned the heat up on John's own career by pointing out that he hasn't won a singles match on TV since 2018.

An open challenge followed, and Solo Sikoa came out for the party. That would-be match (one WWE should defo come back to) was swiftly interrupted by Jimmy Uso turning it into a Bloodline beatdown the 'Tribal Chief' would be proud of. Then, Jey Uso sprinted out to even the odds and help JC out.

There are certainly worse ideas on the table than sticking Cena and Jey vs. Solo and Jimmy on the format sheets come Crown Jewel. Creative might as well make the most of John whilst they have him, but lengthy stories are impossible because they don't know how long he'll stay put.

Another tag match is the best case scenario for everyone.
