1. John "Doomsday" Howard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XJzgzlpngg The most recent fighter to join the CM Punk callout bandwagon. John Howard has a fight this weekend on the UFC Fight Night 59 card, but that hasn't stopped him from throwing his name into the hat. Speaking to the media at a press event for UFC Fight Night 59, Howard said;
I think signing with the UFC for the exposure is awesome. I think with his skill set, I dont see who he could fight. We are the best of the best of MMA. OK. As a matter of fact, if he went to a lower-tier organization, I dont see him surviving. But, who's he going to fight? Ill put it out there right now: Ill fight him. ... Ill come to middleweight to fight him. I would love to fight CM Punk and crack his noseand give him some Doomsday love.
Howard is currently fighting at welterweight, but said he'd have no problem moving up a weight class for the fight. Once again, however, there's a vast experience difference, and you can safely bet that this fight won't be happening any time soon. Howard is 2210 as a pro and has been fighting for a decade. He first fought in the UFC in 2009, and holds wins over Uriah Hall and Dennis Hallman, among others. This bout would be CM Punk being led to the slaughter. However, this, like most of the callouts that have happened so far, underline the key problem in booking a fight for Punk: anyone with experience would probably beat him, while booking him against a can will cause fans to cry foul.
