3. The Slow Turn

Austin Aries wasn't in action this week, but he was shown backstage at one point, talking to William Regal. Aries told Regal that he didn't come to NXT to be just another talent, and Regal agreed with him.

Aries was beginning to request a shot to show his talent, but he was interrupted by former NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy. Aries dressed them down for barging into Regal's office (and for not bringing Alexa Bliss along with them, continuing the thread of sexism that's run through his recent segments), then the three got into a full-fledged argument. Bliss joined in, a shouting match took place, and finally, Regal had to cool everybody down.

Regal declared that on next week's show, Blake and Murphy would take on Aries and a partner of his choosing. That seemed to satisfy everyone - especially Aries himself, who seemed to have an ace up his sleeve. The slow heel turn is continuing.
