6 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Oct 5)

New title challengers emerge, and belts were on the line on this week's WWE NXT 2.0.

If it wasn't already abundantly clear from the invasion of pumpkins on just about every social media platform, spooky season is well and truly upon us. So, ever the promotion to get in on the festive action, NXT unveiled the return of Halloween Havoc in just a matter of week's time. And, boy, do they have an NXT title match for you to get your vampire canines into... well, maybe. It could still get a little "Woke" before then.

Before we got to that event, however, there was just the small matter of an eight-man tag match, contested between four of the brand's top duos. Well, that would've been the matter, if the decision wasn't made to drastically re-book the bout due to it making next to no sense in the first place. So, we had an NXT Tag Team Championship fatal four-way to play with instead, because why the hell not?

Raquel Gonzalez also took to the ring to remind Mandy Rose that she holds the potential to put her in a full body cast, NXT's latest Draft call-ups all set the stage for their dramatic send-offs in a few week's time, and Tian Sha were once again thrown to the multi-coloured wolves.

The stars of tomorrow once again found themselves at the forefront this week, though, which felt like another step in the right direction. Don't get your writer wrong, there's still a long way to go for the field of green we see before us. But in Steiner stallions, underdog heroes, and mafia wise-guys, NXT may just have something rather fun on their hands... but don't say it too loud, Vince might panic and turn Breakker into a Funkasaurus.
