When the Vaudevillains won the tag team tournament to become #1 contenders, you had to wonder if it was a panic move because of Enzo Amores injury. Aiden English and Simon Gotch werent exactly setting the world on fire, with their debut taking place on Smackdown and Vince McMahon reportedly not getting the gimmick.

But the duo has worked to make themselves look like a menacing team, attacking Tag Team Champions the New Day and sneering the whole time. Monday, they jumped New Day while the trio was mocking their bygone era line and left them laying. And instead of just a simple boots to fallen opponent beatdown, English and Gotch hit a couple brutal tandem moves, including a neckbreaker/powerbomb combo on Kofi Kingston.

While it seems that New Day is going to retain the tag titles it just doesnt feel like the Vaudevillains are going to upset the challengers have worked to look credible. Heres hoping they arent relegated to the scrapheap anytime soon.
