One thing WWE failed to spot amidst Dolph Ziggler's heel turn earlier this year was that hardly anyone felt sorry for Kalisto or Apollo Crews when the veteran caved their heads in with steel chairs. In fact, people cheered Dolph's callous actions like he was doing them a favour. The story should have been abandoned right there and then.

WWE pressed on and booked a handicap match at Elimination Chamber, and it wasn't good. Much of the workload was handled by Ziggler and Crews (after Dolph had attacked Kalisto during the masked man's entrance), which was fine, but the random pairing's subsequent win was met with near silence.

The cheering only started again when Ziggler again went full-on crazy and started attacking his opponents post-match. If this was supposed to get Dolph over as a killer heel, it failed, because fans were digging his new attitude more than hating it.
