Building up to what was supposed to be another passing-of-the-torch match for Roman Reigns at No Mercy, he and John Cena had a war of words. One of the most memorable segments arrived on the 28 August 2017 episode of RAW, in which 'Big Match John' rattled ‘The Big Dog' up enough to forget one of his lines.

While explaining why the WWE Universe hated Cena, Reigns said, "First of all, you suck" before 'The Master of Thuganomics’ interrupted him.

Reigns dug deep for a comeback and told Cena to shut up. He continued, "Second of all," before his eyes grew wide and he broke character with a goofy smirk.

Cena called Reigns out for the moment, telling him, "It's called a promo, man. If you wanna be the Big Dog, you're gonna have to learn how to do it, so go ahead. See ya fourth wall!"
