8 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Aug 4)

1. Production Issues

EC3 cut what sounded like a delightful promo, revealing his immediate intentions within Impact Wrestling are to take the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Moose in a bid to burn the title to the ground. Continuing on from his mission to entirely erase his previous run in Impact, 'The Essential Character' wants to rid the company of a title that he no longer wants to associate with.

Given what's happened over the previous few months with Moose defeating an array of former TNA stars before declaring himself the TNA Champion at Rebellion, it's a sensational way to further the story of 'Mr Impact Wrestling' living in the past. Seeing as EC3 is a former two-time champion in his own right, it's only logical that he be the one to pose a serious threat to Moose.

However, the production issues for the promo hampered it constantly.

The background music overpowered EC3's words for the majority of the two minutes. For the most part, it was still clear what he was saying, but this is something that isn't entirely new to Impact audiences. Music being overbearing compared to spoken words has been a problem for the company in the past. It's a shame really, seeing as it's such an easy mistake to fix. Such a small thing to ruin an otherwise brilliant promo.
