8 Ups And 2 Downs For WWE NXT (Jun 8)
1. Moon Eclipses Kai And Gonzalez
Ember Moon had the chance to get her hands on one of the people responsible for putting her tag team partner Shotzi Blackheart on the shelf, whilst simultaneously sending a message to NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez on this week's go-home show.
And you'll be pleased to hear that she did exactly that, although that now likely means her chances of walking away with the belt on Sunday night have taken a monstrous hit - this is WWE, after all.
Take nothing away from Moon and Dakota Kai's showcase last night though as the pair put on an excellent exhibition, with the TakeOver: In Your House challenger delivering more unique offence - a sommersault stunner was particularly breathtaking - and The Captain of Team Kick living up to her moniker.
Yet, this was all inevitably leading to some Gonzalez interference and, after failing to boot Moon's head off and eating a shot and dive from her rival for her troubles, Big Mami Cool took matters into her own hands. The DQ finish surprisingly didn't take too much away from the finish, however, with it feeling like more of a response to Moon's previous attack than a needless intervention.
The fact the former NXT Women's champ was able to nail the current titler holder with two eclipses to leave her laying may mean that this is as good as it gets for Moon at this current moment in time. But make no mistake, Sunday night's skirmish will be one to remember, regardless.
