9 WWE Matches That Fell Apart On Live TV

7. Hulk Hogan Vs Sid Justice (WrestleMania VIII)

The WrestleMania main event. Unequivocally the biggest match in all of wrestling, and that's exactly how WWE want it. The biggest company puts on the biggest show and oh by the way Hulk Hogan is retiring forever on it.

Not really obviously, but Hogan and many of his ilk were about to exit stage left from a company that was fighting a losing battle to look as if it wasn't taking a commercial kicking from a falling public interest and lots of overdue media discussion and investigation into multiple behind-the-scenes scandals.

Front of house, the shop was looking as sloppy as the backstage area sounded. Hogan and newly-turned heel Sid Justice had a total stinker out there, made even worse by a fumbled conclusion that called for Justice to shoot kick out of Hogan's leg drop when newcomer Papa Shango catastrophically botched the timing of his run-in.

Whatever cue he'd been given had been missed, so he was nowhere near the ring when called-upon to break up the fall. He was nowhere near the ring seconds later when, upon finally emerging in front of the crowd, he stopped and looked around first before at long last giving Sid a helping hand to trigger a languid show-closing disqualification finish.

Look at the above clip - he still looks as if he's taking a wrong turn even when the year's biggest spotlight shines down on him. On commentary, Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan don't call what they can't see, and only the Ultimate Warrior's surprise return bails it out from being an all-time stinker.

Good run-ins can do that. Bad ones though...
