Every Major AEW Show RANKED From Worst To Best

10. All Out 2020

Kip Sabian Jon Moxley
AEW

A damn good card but an unpleasant experience.

An objectively very good set of matches difficult to enjoy subjectively.

A show that, even under ideal circumstances, would not have reached the level expected now of All Elite Wrestling.

Matt Hardy's injury, the notion that there seemed to be little room to manoeuvre on that crane, the senseless and reckless decision to continue the match when it was clear to everybody else that Hardy, purple, was done: all of this converged to ruin the vibe. It's great to revel in AEW's pay-per-views. The model and the build towards it creates an unmissable super-show feel. One moment, handled abysmally, undermined it all.

The Young Bucks were great value in an electric opener proper. Their d*ckhead bragging rights - they only won the "hot tag battle" because they knocked Luchasaurus off the apron - echoed the version of the act that effectively worked people into actually hating them. Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy pulled off an oxymoronic comedy death match, but it didn't play well after the Hardy injury. FTR defeated Kenny Omega and Hangman Page in a very well-worked match drenched in detail and pathos, but also stifling humidity. Jon Moxley and MJF worked a superb stylistic clash, telling a story through the range of pro wrestling, in which Mox sold as well as the best of his NJPW colleagues.

Very little of this mattered all that much.
