Going into WrestleMania 26, Batista was obsessed with solidifying his superiority over John Cena, always emphasizing how Cena had never been able to beat him in one-on-one competition. Once he finally slayed The Animal at WrestleMania 26 and took back the WWE Championship, Batista then focused on regaining the gold and inflicting as much punishment as possible on his longtime rival.

After coming up short against Cena in a Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules, Batista earned one last opportunity to contend for the title at Over the Limit, this time in an "I Quit" match. Again, no one actually believed he would be the first person to force The Champ to utter the two demeaning words, but at least the match itself had the potential to be enjoyable.

Unfortunately, it was anything but.

Firstly, most of the match consisted of the two brawling over the arena without any real excitement; they just took turns beating the living tar out of each other. It felt as if it dragged on forever with the only true highlight being Cena delivering an Attitude Adjustment to the ex-WWE champ off a car and through the stage, but that was after the match had already ended.

The next night on Raw, a wheelchair bound Batista quit the company for real and wasn't seen again on WWE programming for another four years.
