Ranking Top 10 WCW Main Eventers In WWE

5. Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash helped bring WCW to incredible heights, but at least had a small hand in its demise. After they went under he took some time off, and came back to WWE where he had previously been the heavyweight champion as Diesel. Unlike many other WCW wrestlers, he had a few things going for him. Since he was originally made a star because of Vince McMahon, and due to his close friendship with HHH, he was given a pretty fair push, despite some mobility issues in the ring.

Nash returned in 2002 along with his buddies Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan to battle The Rock and Steve Austin. Unfortunately for the NWO, they came up on the losing side of the feuds, and then Nash went down with an injury. He returned very briefly, as in his first match back he infamously blew out one of his quads, and ended up being on the disabled list for months. When he returned, he was immediately put back a main event program against his old clique pal HHH. The matches were pretty forgettable, and didn't have much business being in the main event. After that, Big Sexy took some time off.

In 2010, it was Nash of all people to cost CM Punk the world title while he was the hottest thing in wrestling. A program between the two, however, never came to fruition due to a Nash health scare, and it was HHH who stepped in to essentially retire him. Since then, Nash competed in multiple Royal Rumbles, as well as making guest appearances with the NWO. Despite not wrestling a ton of matches in WWE, he did fairly well for himself.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
