Seth Rollins' 9 WWE Title Defences - From Worst To Best

6. Dean Ambrose - Elimination Chamber

The Elimination Chamber PPV was thrown together quite quickly in a bid to increase WWE Network subscription numbers, but the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose was still nothing short of excellent. By this point, these two had squared off on almost countless occasions, but throwing the title into the mix obviously upped the stakes in a major way. These two really gave it their all, pulling out some unexpected moves and delivering a series of near falls which made it feel like anything could happen. The ending saw Rollins throw the referee into Ambrose's path as he jumped from the top rope only to still end up on the receiving end of Dirty Deeds moments later. Another official would go on to count the pinfall and crown the Lunatic Fringe the new champion. Unfortunately, in a cruel tease to fans, the original ref ended up reversing the decision, and Rollins' priceless reaction is no doubt a gif you've seen and used countless times by this stage. Ambrose and Rollins have incredible chemistry in the ring together, and while it could be argued that this was something of a filler feud thrown together when PPVs were hitting every two weeks, it definitely entertained and resulted in quite possibly the best and most exciting regular singles match between these two since The Shield broke up.
