WWE have two guys lined up for Batista that would make excellent marquee main events. Randy Orton at Wrestlemania and Brock Lesnar at Summerslam have money written all over them. In saying that, this being WWE, there is no guarantee that either of those will actually happen. The more worrying point is this - beyond Orton and Lesnar, who is there really to get excited about against The Animal? CM Punk could carry a decent B level PPV feud but that is the only idea that jumps to mind. A rehash of Batista and Triple H is as unnecessary as it is uninspiring. As for John Cena, that feud was done to death last time around. There is no desire to see that again. Looking at the roster there just isn't a wide range of guys you would look at and think they match up well with the Animal. Be it chemistry or dynamics, there aren't that many. Some people have cited Roman Reigns or Big E as opponents. To be honest, I think the clash of style would seriously stink up the ring on those ones. The true role of a former star should be to make a new star. Old talent should be coming in to elevate the newer talents. Somehow, I doubt this is what Batista has came back for. Instead we will probably see him going over the likes of the talented Alberto Del Rio and squashing men the calibre of Dolph Ziggler.
