WWE: 10 Reasons We Want A New WCW Nitro Reboot On WWE Network
6. Excuse To Bring Back WCW Legends
WCW has been woefully underrepresented in recent years in the legends department. Goldberg, Sting, the Steiner Brothers, Big Van Vader, and Diamond Dallas Page are WCW guys and they are barely been mentioned on WWE television in the last ten years. Even "WWE guys" like Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho, Randy Savage, and the Big Show were major stars in World Championship Wrestling at one point. With Old School Raw being one of their more popular recent ideas, WWE should follow this trend by booking an Old School Nitro broadcast and only showcase the WCW legends. This could bring many WCW fans back to the product who stopped watching wrestling entirely when WCW shut the doors in 2001. With WWE owning the WCW name and the entire tape library, it's officially time to bury the hatchet with WCW and admit that your main competitor was really special at one point. Admit that someone like Sting would have been a major star in WWE and that Jim Ross would have killed to discver Goldberg in 1997. You want intrigue? Book an Old School Raw the week after Old School Nitro and have the WCW legends invade the WWE show because they're still upset about how they were all fired in 2001. Older fans would go nuts and the internet would be buzzing for weeks.
