5. Survivor Series And The Sermon Of The Damned - November 2014

Survivor Series, being the event during which 'Taker debuted, would serve as a logically historic place for Sting to make the official challenge for Wrestlemania. Yup, it's time for Sting to speak. Given the right circumstances and opponent, Steve Borden can be a very good promo and with the history and prior build-up to this, he can, essentially say pretty much anything and make it work. After a couple of months of radio silence, Sting can reappear and WWE can begin to promote a "historic announcement" for the Survivor Series. During the event, Sting hits the ring and cuts a dramatic promo elucidating his past, 'Taker's streak and why he's challenging it. The exact nuances of the promo are open to interpretation. Given both of their gimmicks, something along the lines of a professed parity between the two- both being guardian's of darkness' door- and The Streak being the "bolt which locks the door". Perhaps he could refer to 'Taker as the custodian of the dark but claim the people don't need to afraid of the dark any more. Honestly, it doesn't matter. Just make the 'Mania challenge official. The other thing he should probably do is explain the bell, just in case there's anyone who hasn't understood it yet. "I won't be #23... you will." It might be an idea to give 'Taker until the Royal Rumble to respond to the challenge, just to set a time-frame to explain his inevitable absence from WWE screens over the Christmas period, when WWE tends to do very little regarding future storylines.
