Perhaps the overriding positive aspect of a Brand Split is the chance it gives WWE to refreshen their entire televised product. This would open up a whole world of new feuds, call-ups, storylines and PPV concepts.

Big events such as the Royal Rumble and MITB ladder match would have extra significance placed upon them, an undisputed positive of the wildly inconsistent Ruthless Aggression era.

Storylines such as Batista's turn on Evolution or Edge's shocking SmackDown cash-in would never have occurred had a Brand Split not been in place. Hopefully this new change will really help propel WWE into a new era of creativity and originality.
