A story that has developed significantly in the last week has linked Dave Bautista with a return to WWE. A huge star of the last decade, Batista would be a major coup for WWE to secure a return for. He was a good draw through his previous run with the company, and at 44 could still contribute in a big match scenario today. 'The Animal' originally left WWE in 2010, disillusioned with the creative direction of the company. However, as soon as 2012 he was telling people that he would return to the company in the near future. A match that Batista has stated interest in would be against Brock Lesnar - could the current talks between WWE and Batista be regarding a match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30? At this stage, details are scant on what is planned for Batista. What we know for certain is that Batista and WWE are talking. Internally the company want him back. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has supported this assertion, and this week published details on management wanting to bring Batista in. WWE Superstar Big E Langston has also revealed that Batista is wanted back "I know there's been talk possibly, and I have no idea if it's gonna happen, about Batista possibly coming back." Whether it would be a one off deal, a part time contract or full time deal is unknown. WWE could certainly do with adding a full time main event talent to their roster. Already a made man, Batista will likely look for a part time deal that the top industry legends now demand. A match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania certainly seems an appealing scenario to get Batista back, and The Animal must be keenly aware that if he is to return now is the time to do it. Having competed in MMA, Batista is still in great shape, now is the time to cash in on a big return to the company that made him famous.
