WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Biggest Shocks We Might See

7. Bray Wyatt Makes His Mark

Bray Wyatt is a wrestler with a fearsome reputation. His character work is fantastic, he can cut a promo (albeit sometimes nonsensically) and does his mannerisms superbly. Despite little one on one ring time on tv, he also holds a reputation as a good in-ring worker. Therein is the problem. We have all too rarely seen Bray wrestle in the last year, instead we have got used to him playing cheerleader for Harper and Rowan. To maintain the reputation as a solid in-ring talent, you have to actually be getting in-ring competition. Wyatt's most notable one on one effort so far has been against Kane at Summerslam. The lack of action since then has hurt his perception. Royal Rumble is Wyatt's chance to change all of that. A one on one match with Daniel Bryan has the potential to be magnificent. This is two talented workers who are hungry for success. They will struggle to steal the show, but it could definitely be the undercard bout of the night. The shocking moment from the PPV could be the emergence of Bray as a genuine star for 2014. Victory over Bryan would achieve this, a decisive brutal win being the shocking moment to silence the crowd. As detailed earlier, Bryan could go on to win the Rumble, thus ensuring the loss doesn't hurt his character. Watch this space ... Bray Wyatt is awaiting his big chance and Royal Rumble could be the night he takes it.
