2. The Miz & Maryse Dressed Like They're In Mourning
Rewind to No Mercy, The Miz lost the WWE Intercontinental Title to Dolph Ziggler. One of the finest matches on the card of the last SmackDown pay-per-view, the bout didn't conclude the rivalry. Indeed, Dolph and Miz are still at loggerheads on a weekly basis. That continued on SmackDown Live.
Coming out to discuss his recent disappointment, The Miz was flanked by Maryse and both members of The Spirit Squad. Whereas Kenny and Mikey were clad in their usual cheerleading outfits, Miz and his wife looked like they were attending a funeral on the set of a Hollywood blockbuster.
Definitely muted, the colour scheme chosen was also prevalent in Maryse's make up. Wearing dark lipstick, the woman stood aside a Miz who picked out sunglasses that were almost blacked out entirely. This cannot have been an accident, the heel was there to mourn the fact he didn't have gold in his possession.
This follows on from the 'black and white' contrast between Charlotte and Sasha Banks on Raw. Come SmackDown, colour was once again used to great effect.
