1. Steve Austin’s Return Is Hype For Saudi Arabia
'Stone Cold' went from definitely/maybe having a match at WrestleMania 38 to appearing in a talk show skit opposite Kevin Owens. This isn't meant as a dig at KO, but he never felt like the right man for Steve Austin's return match. Who is? Who knows, but Owens was a curious choice.
Austin holds all the power here, and he'll be aware of that. WWE are clearly desperate to get a match or two out of him in 2022, and that means the legend can ask for whatever he likes. Y'know what crossed this writer's mind as a horror outcome? That 'Mania 38 and this 'KO Show' bit is mere hype for the next Saudi Arabian stadium show.
Sorry for that painful thought.
Many will say, 'No chance! Austin wouldn't do that!". Did anybody think Shawn Michaels would give in to the power of moolah and return for that car crash tag with Triple H vs. The Undertaker and Kane though? Nah, they didn't. Money talks.
