10 Modern Comics That TOTALLY Changed Marvel History
1. House Of X/ Powers Of X - 2019
What is there to say about the new X-Men series that hasn't been shouted from the rooftops by basically every comic news outlet in existence? In terms of changing Marvel history, it's the absolute pinnacle of modern development - as it completely rewrites the history of both mutants and the X-Men in pretty much every way conceivable.
These changes start by making the X-Men's longtime ally, Moira MacTaggert, into another superhuman mutant. And not just any mutant, but one bestowed with ten lives, who literally restarts the universe everytime she dies, and comes back entirely aware of her previous life.
Armed with the newfound knowledge that these powers give her, Moira begins to massively influence the timeline - most crucially, by sharing the events of her previous lives with Professor X, and convincing him to work with Magneto to make a place where mutants can live without fear of being hunted.
All this culminates in the X-Men joining forces with the mutant villains they used to face, branching away from humanity to live on the island of Krakoa, where they build their own society, government, and way of life.
