10 Underrated Supervillains Who Deserved Better

1. Wrath

Spider-Man Ezekiel
DC Comics

The 8th mystery of the world is, without a doubt, exactly how Wrath managed to not end up being a major DC supervillain.

Wrath originally appeared in 1984, as a kind of 'anti-Batman', much like Prometheus would eventually become. His parents were two burglars, who would be accidentally killed by a young policeman who thought they were robbing their own house.

This event would turn a young Wrath against law enforcement, dedicating his life to opposing them - and coincidentally training a young ward named Elliot Caldwell to serve as his equivalent to Robin.

As though this alone wasn't an interesting enough dynamic, Caldwell eventually takes on the role of Wrath, and stays as the villain after the New 52 reboot.

A young, successful, and secretly entirely evil CEO, Wrath is capable of being both Batman and Bruce Wayne's nemesis, which makes it almost unbelievable that he's been used so little since his creation.
