15. The First Timers

This is their first encounter with the comic convention. They are hazardously exploring the convention floor, unsure of which events require purchasing extra tickets, and carefully looking through each stall before making a decision on what they want. Prior to this their only flurry into the comic book world was through TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory, but now they are ready for the real thing. They are elated by the sight of the fantastic costumes and are overwhelmed by the peculiar yet enjoyable experience. The cameras and smartphones are constantly out, documenting every ounce of the convention, and the cost of autographs will always leave them gobsmacked. There is a level of naivety in the first comic-con attendance; you don€™t realise how much the food, drink, merchandise, celebrity talks and autographs will cost. However, after you have attended a few you realise that you should pack a few supplies to save yourself from spending insane amounts of money on crisps and water. The shock and willingness to part with their money will leave them easy to spot, but within a few conventions these people will look like professionals.
