10 Best Movie Posters Of 2017
9. John Wick Chapter 2
When the original John Wick arrived with little aplomb back in 2014, few could have predicted what a landmark role it would prove to be for Keanu Reeves. In amongst a near-endless cacophony of balletic gunplay, the then-50 year old actor gave one of his very best performances, proving that, like a fine wine, he's only improved with age.
The 2017 sequel arrived with the title character established as a world class tough guy, steadfast in the face of ridiculous odds and even more ridiculous levels of firepower. So it's only fitting that this vaguely tongue-in-cheek yet resolutely badass poster shows Reeves' Wick a little worse for wear yet unflappable, despite having 20 guns pointed directly at his head.
Better yet, this image is also an affectionate homage to one of the earliest pioneers of expertly choreographed action cinema, Buster Keaton, who finds himself in a similar position in the 1918 silent short Two-Gun Gussie.
