Last Film Entry: Child's Play (2019)

What's Going On? The Child's Play franchise is in a strange old place right now.

Having been dormant since 2004's Seed of Chucky, franchise creator Don Mancini brought the famed Good Guy doll back to action with 2013's soft reboot, Curse of Chucky, which was then followed up four years later by Cult of Chucky.

Away from that standard canon, though, 2019 delivered a straight-up Child's Play remake that included Mark Hamill voicing Chucky in place of franchise fave Brad Dourif. Redo director Lars Klevberg has talked up the possibility of a sequel picture for this iteration of the IP, but that's still to get the green light from MGM.

Back with the original Child's Play franchise, a TV series continuing on from where Cult left off is currently filming. Titled Chucky, the first teasers have already surfaced online for a show that will see Dourif, his daughter Fiona, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent and Christine Elise McCarthy reprising their respective roles, with Lexa Doig and Devon Sawa amongst those now entering the world of Child's Play.

Not just that, but Don Mancini has talked up plans to follow Chucky with a new Child's Play movie or two - even suggesting that we may somehow get a Child's Play and A Nightmare on Elm Street crossover film if Mancini gets his way.
