11 Giant Mistakes The DCEU Has Already Made

3. Casting Gal Gadot As Wonder Woman

Before Wonder Woman was cast there were lots of exciting candidates up for the role, including Gina Carano, Alexandra Daddario and Adrianne Palicki (even if her Wonder Woman TV pilot didn€™t work out for the best). Of all of them Carano appeared to be the obvious choice; she had the right look and if anyone could convincingly kick ass on-screen it was her. It came as big surprise to everyone that Gal Gadot ended up as the character; outside of some modelling and a supporting role in the Fast & Furious movies, she€™d done nothing to show she€™d be a strong choice for the role. She€™s hardly the most magnetic performer in the world, plus her skinny frame doesn€™t make her a very imposing fighter. Out of the many casting missteps made so far, this feels like the one that could badly impact DC€™s plans. The Wonder Woman movie will rest entirely on her shoulders, so if audiences don€™t warm to her in Batman V Superman they€™ll have a serious problem to deal with later.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
