Every 2016 Disney Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Finding Dory

Doctor Strange Cumberbatch
Pixar

Rotten Tomatoes: 94%

The long-awaited sort of sequel, sort of spin-off to 2003’s Finding Nemo raked in a huge $1.028 billion worldwide, ranking as the second highest grossing film of last year and Disney’s third highest grossing animation of all time too. Money isn’t everything though, but thankfully Finding Dory was as much a critical success as it was a commercial one.

Praised for its gorgeous animation, thought-provoking themes and sense of humour, Finding Dory saw the return of Ellen DeGeneres as the forgetful titular fish accompanied by familiar faces Nemo and Marlin plus a whole host of new characters including Hank, a cantankerous seven-legged octopus that Pixar classes as one of its most complex animations to date. Considering there were a few stronger Disney contenders released last year, whether Finding Dory will repeat the Oscar-winning success its predecessor earned over a decade ago remains to be seen.
