3. Cho Chang

Harry first develops a crush on Cho Chang in his third year, and in The Order of the Phoenix, he ends up going out with her. Unfortunately, his experience is far from enjoyable.

Indeed, Cho has an annoying habit of bursting into tears. Yes, Cedric’s death was tragic, but Harry is forced to deal with the fallout of her emotions all the time. And this is particularly unpleasant given he was the one who witnessed Cedric’s death. Cho even starts crying during their first kiss in the Room of Requirement.

She also causes a scene during her date with Harry in Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop. After making Cedric’s death the main topic of conversation, she storms out of the shop because she thinks Harry is romantically involved with Hermione.

It’s clear from Cho’s emotional state she’s still suffering from Cedric’s death. This is perfectly understandable, of course. But this doesn’t explain why she chose to date Harry and overwhelm him with her antics.
