Many fans and critics alike had Tyson Fury losing convincingly before his meeting with Wladimir Klitschko last November but the British heavyweight shocked the world by outpointing his legendary opponent.

The pair will meet in a rematch later in 2016 but with Fury having already outlined his plan for the rest of his career, there is every chance he could retire without having suffered defeat.

Fury possesses a record of 18 stoppages from 25 bouts and he has suggested that he will end his time in the ring after three more outings, providing they are lucrative contests with Klitschko, Deontay Wilder and potentially Anthony Joshua.

Even if Fury remains in the sport past his scheduled exit date, he has the ability and boxing brain to maintain his current standing as the best heavyweight on the planet.

He is not the biggest puncher but as Klitschko found out, he knows his way around a ring and he has shown he has the tools to nullify the biggest weapons offered by his opponents.

A showdown between Ortiz and Fury would be intriguing and the reigning WBA and WBO champion will say that he would welcome the fight but he has too many options elsewhere for this clash to be made.
