Unsurprisingly it was Messi who made all the difference during a heated first-leg at Santiago Bernabeu. Having given his side the lead fairly late on with a close-range finish, Messi then put the tie to bed with what some feel is the greatest goal of his career. Having played a quick one-two with Sergio Busquets in the middle of the park, he showed blistering speed and control to breeze past several Madrid challenges, before finishing past Iker Casillas. It was one of the great El Clasico moments.
