The fact that it had echoes of his countryman Diego Maradona's unforgettable goal against England at the 1986 World Cup made it even more special. Picking the ball up in his own half, and with players quickly on him, he brilliantly evaded two tackles, before driving at the Getafe defence with unbelievable pace. He then went past two more opposing players, before rounding the goalkeeper and firing into the net. The whole of Camp Nou erupted, having witnessed what was perhaps the best goal ever scored at Barcelona's famous stadium.
