The New Zealand centre back cost a reported £3 million when he was signed to strengthen our defence in 2010, and since then he has developed into a world class defender. He is a crucial member of the Hammers' defence and gets his fair share of goals too. His efforts have caught the eye of many of the top teams in recent years and West Ham are currently in a battle to hold onto the defender with Liverpool's eyes very much on him.
