10 Best Football Stadiums In The World

8. Anfield (Liverpool)

There are few - if any - more atmospheric grounds in the world than Anfield, when Liverpool are hosting a Champions League match. It actually makes the hairs on the back of your neck stick upright.

Opened way back in 1884, Anfield has become one of England's most iconic football stadiums. The home of Liverpool FC, the stadium has become synonymous with the famous Reds anthem You'll Never Walk Alone being belted out pre-kick-off. Liverpool have claimed five Champions League titles, including back-to-back victories in 1977 and 1978, with the iconic Anfield support constantly driving them on to success.

It cannot be questioned that Anfield is one of the greatest stadiums in the world in terms of atmosphere, and the recent increase in capacity to just under 55,000 only embellishes this already well-earned reputation. It is the true Mecca for Liverpool fans - and long may that continue.
