10 Best NBA Finals Of The 21st Century

7. 2012: Miami Heat 4-1 Oklahoma City Thunder

The criticism was beginning to seriously affect LeBron James' potential legacy, so long had he waited for an elusive NBA Championship since storming into the league in 2003. His highly controversial switch to the Miami Heat in 2010 hadn't yet yielded the expected league-dominating results, and many feared for his reputation against an OKC team boasting the hottest young superstar in the NBA - Kevin Durant. The lanky 'Durantula' proved his reputation as the most unstoppable scorer in the league, leading the Thunder to an impressive Game 1 win. However, just as the Lakers stormed back against the less-fancied 76ers in 2001, the big guns of the Heat ended the series with four consecutive wins. Each game in the series was a tight one, typically involving a LeBron-Durant shootout with notable cameos from Dwyane Wade and Russell Westbrook. The notable exception was the Championship-clinching Game 5, which saw James steamroll everything in his path with a breathtaking triple-double en route to finally fulfilling his destiny
