10 Best Premier League Football Kits For 2014/15 Season
6. Man City Away
English champions Manchester City unveiled a retro away strip last month that hawks back to their promotion glory in 1999. Though they won the Premier League in 2013-14, things haven't always been rosy for the Citizens, who were playing in the second division 15 years ago. Fans will be glad to see their side revert back to a dark blue look - the colour the team wore in the 1999 Second Division Play-Off Final against Gillingham that saw them promoted to the topflight on penalties following a 2-2 draw. The kit gradually gets lighter as it approaches the shorts, but doesn't quite hit the dazzling heights of the traditional sky blue home shirt. We think the yellow-trimmed club emblem, Nike swoop and Etihad Airways logo works well with dark blue, and fans might be pleased to know this kit is more than just aesthetic. The socks are specially designed so that they have less fabric, affording Sergio Aguero and co. better control of the ball. The socks also contain 'Elite Match fit' technology to cushion key injury areas, which should hopefully mean Aguero stays out of the treatment room in 2014-15.
