Again, you must be getting bored of reading it now, the severe angle of the jump saw the Saw go flipping down the finish straight with it's faux wood handles being the major casualty of the organisers lack of foresight into how unstable many of the brilliant contraptions would be going over a really high jump - some hitting at least ten feet above the ground going on what we could see as spectators. It was after this final crash, to the jeers of the crowd, did the organisers finally decide to rotate the jump by 180 degrees to make the gradient shallower and install a hay chicane a bit further up the hill to reduce the speed. It does mean however, that some of the later teams would have a much lower chance of getting a top time because they would have to go slower to negotiate the chicane - which some didn't.
