10 Best Spurs Goalkeepers In Premier League History
3. Brad Friedel
United States international goalkeeper was the second American when he arrived at Spurs to rival the inconsistent Heurelho Gomes and, at 40 years old when he arrived, most people merely expected him to provide competition for the Brazilian so that he would push on and improve his own game - however, he became the reliable goalkeeper that the club had been crying out for. He was the club's first choice goalkeeper for the 2011-2012 season and even kept Hugo Lloris out for the start of the following campaign - until the Frenchman finally ended Friedel's run of 310 consecutive games. That said, it can't be stressed enough how much he impressed and he is still on the club's books today at the age of 43. He has made fifty Premier League appearances for Spurs and seventeen in other competitions.
