10 Big Talking Points On Luis Suarez's Future

9. How Will His Signing Affect The Barcelona Line-Up?

Emilio Morenatti/AP/Press Association ImagesEmilio Morenatti/AP/Press Association ImagesBarcelona are renowned for their attacking prowess and with players such as Neymar and Messi in their ranks this looks set to continue. A player of Suarez's quality will fit well into their attacking line, even if it means he starts on the bench occasionally. Neymar, who is a doubt for the start of the season, is a tenacious striker who likes to win the ball and run at defenders, drawing them away from other players. Suarez is a similar type of footballer and could quite easily keep Neymar out of the team should he prove himself on the pitch. It is doubtful the two will play together unless Luis Enrique opts to play three forwards, leaving Pedro on the bench. Lionel Messi is a completely different prospect and Suarez will never keep him out of the team. He is Barcelona's talisman and would be looking to go on mazy runs and either find the net himself or lay the ball off to the likes of Neymar and Suarez. If Luis can adapt to this style of play then he will be rewarded with goals. Depending on the fitness of Neymar and the style of football Luis Enrique decides to play, Suarez could also fill the void left by Alexis Sanchez, who has completed a move to Arsenal. Sanchez was used almost like a 'super sub' to come off the bench and make an instant impact. Suarez's pace, power and willingness to shoot means he could also fit this role should the manager decide that he won't be starting immediately. Whatever the formation and starting eleven, Suarez is adaptable and would be able to fit into whichever Barcelona side Luis Enrique decides is his strongest.
