5. Stance On Marijuana
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz_AUVoos_8 The blame for this controversy must be firmly placed on the shoulders of the athletic commission. Fighters who are tested and found to have any trace of marijuana in their system are treated in the same way as those found to have been using performance enhancing drugs. Regardless of the stance you personally take on marijuana, in no way should partaking in it be considered as punishable as using steroids to cheat. A notable case which involved this controversial stance on the drug was a year ago at UFC 159 when Pat Healy tested positive for marijuana after his win over Jim Miller. Not only did he have the victory which would have been the biggest of his career stricken from his record but he was also forced to surrender the $65,000 Fight of the Night bonus and $65,000 Submission of the Night his come-from-behind victory was rightfully awarded.
