10 Biggest Failures In The Premier League This Season (So Far)

8. Adam Lallana (Liverpool)

Adam Lallana had an average first season at Anfield but was widely expected to really make his mark this year and demonstrate why Liverpool signed him for such a huge price. It hasn't really happened. Despite scoring three goals (one in the FA Cup and two in the Europa League) the 27-year-old hasn't yet looked like the player he was at Southampton and hasn't adapted to playing around players as good if not better than him. His languid style may not suit Jurgen Klopp's philosophy and he could struggle if the German prefers to play Roberto Firmino (a player he was very fond of during his time in the Bundesliga) in his position. So far the English midfielder has made four appearances this season and has not yet scored or made an assist.
