10 Biggest Failures In The Premier League This Season (So Far)

9. Costel Pantilimon (Sunderland)

Sunderland are currently second bottom of the Premier League and have conceded 18 goals in eight games. Now, I understand that Costel Pantilimon isn't the only person to blame for the Black Cats poor form but his form will need to improve if he wants his side to avoid relegation. The goalkeeper has not kept a clean sheet all season and is letting in an average of 2.25 goals per game. Despite having a fairly poor (actually extremely poor) defence in front of him, the Romanian will not be happy with his performances so far this season especially after his heroics during last year's campaign. Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel and Norwich's John Ruddy (who also haven't kept a single clean sheet this season) were close to being placed on this list but I believe Pantilimon needs to improve the most under new Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce.
